Position Profile

ProAutomated is seeking to fill a need for an outside sales professional to help grow our commercial lighting control sales and services business.  If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding career and have a bachelor’s degree and related experience with knowledge of electrical contracting, lighting design,  construction or supply and sales techniques including networking, lead generation and cold calling along with a consultative sales style with the ability to capture and close the deal, apply now.

Job duties and responsibilities

·         Grow sales within the specified territory, meeting monthly sales targets.

·         Meet and build relationships with commercial electrical contractors, electrical distributors, general contractors, design/build firms, interior designers, commercial AV dealers and architects within a 50 mile radius of Philadelphia, calling on all levels within customer organization. 

·         Create and give presentations to customers about ProAutomated and lighting controls to build interest and educate customers. 

·         Create customer specific value proposition of the benefits of utilizing lighting control systems and partnering with ProAutomated on lighting control projects.

·         Present Continuing Education Courses (CEU) for commercial customers in specified territory.

·         Submit weekly call reports to sales manager

·         Enter all opportunities into sales force management software and create follow up activities for each opportunity.

·         Track accounts receivable for all customers within territory, ensuring all are up to date.

·         Attend trade shows and training courses to stay up to date with latest technology and products and for networking purposes.

·         Network with Lutron sales reps, Lutron spec team and outside Lutron sales reps.

·         Entertain customers on a weekly basis

·         Represent ProAutomated at industry trade associations- Philly Local chapters

 

Qualifications

 

·         Bachelors degree preferred

·         2-5 years of experience in sales and/or lighting controls/lighting industry experience

·         Ability to exercise sound commercial judgment

·         Strong influencing/ selling skills

·         Strong planning and organization skills

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office package as well as internet email.
