About the Outside Sales Specialist III:The Outside Sales Specialist III is a quota carrying position focused on driving the sale of Dell?s Data Center and Enterprise Networking Solutions. This person will work with existing Account teams and Sales Engineers to identify accounts with complex data center architecture challenges including but not limited to virtualization, storage, application workload management, and IT simplification/consolidation, server hardware, power and cooling,. The Outside Sales Specialist will target, qualify and drive sales campaigns around a variety of data center solutions in a defined territory. The Outside Sales Specialist will make customer sales calls to surface, qualify, position and close new opportunities (at existing dell customers and new acquisition customers) and owns the Dell Force10 networking product sales quota for their territory. This role is an integral part of the Dell sales team. The Outside Sales Specialist is responsible for ownership of an opportunity throughout the sales cycle and will engage other subject matter experts or services teams as needed. Principal Accountabilities ? The Outiside Sales Specialist must possess a competitive knowledge of the data center enterprise network technologies and architecture. Must be able to articulate how the Dell Solutions differ from the leading enterprise data center networking competitors. ? Engage on business level discussions around solving data center challenges across a customer?s environment. Through this discussion build an overall vision for transforming a customer?s data center and enterprise network to meet business requirements. ? The Outside Sales Specialist will be able to conduct high level white board sessions to evaluate and make recommendations to customer business requirements. Must have 7-10 years outside sales experience ? 5-8 years of experience focused on data center and enterprise network solutions ? Candidate must be able to work effectively cross functionally, work independently,and with existing sales teams ? Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills, exemplary selling skills, and good time management skills. ?
