Overseas Site engineer Job in Nottingham Ng12dr, Midlands Uk

An Excellent opportunity to work for a Worldwide organisation as a Site engineer.

This role is based in Nottingham but involves travel overseas commissioning units on client sites. This could mean a few weeks in the UK then overseas for a few weeks installing equipment then back to the UK again.

The roles involves
* Maintaining a high quality of work which is in line with company standards as a minimum, observing at all times the company Business Management System Policy
* Maintaining a professional approach to work and to relationships with colleagues
* Observing all aspects of the Company's personnel policies
* Being aware of the Company's health and safety requirements and informing the QEHS Manager of any breaches that may occur
* Ensuring that the Company housekeeping standards are met and raised if possible

JOB ROLE:
* Commissioning equipment on clients' sites worldwide
* Liaising closely with Project Managers and Development Engineers to ensure that test work is carried out in the required order, for completion to deadlines
* As a representative of the company with direct contact with clients, acting in a professional manner at all times
* Maintaining offshore medical and survival training certificates
* Carrying out commissioning, installation and maintenance work on site
* Providing detailed written reports on site activities
* Ensuring that all as-built drawings are made and passed to the appropriate Project Manager on completion of the site visit.
* Ensuring that companies products and services are brought to the attention of clients
* Ensuring all relevant tools are calibrated up to date
* Taking adequate care of tools
* Performing in-house module testing and repair if required
* Carrying out FAT test with customers if required
* Working on in-house system testing as required
* Providing technical training to customers and colleagues

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL:
* Electronics qualification (ONC or equivalent minimum) or substantial relevant experience
* Excellent component-level understanding of electronics circuits
* Familiarity with software based systems
* Willingness to travel extensively overseas offshore
* Good communication skills
* Medically fit to pass offshore medical
* Full driving licence
DESIRABLE:
* Familiarity with installation/commissioning work
