Oversight Manager

The Balance Sheet Risk Management (Asset Liability Management) oversight function provides independent risk oversight to ensure compliance within determined interest rate and liquidity risk limits.  As a Risk Manager you will provide independent oversight over Group Treasury market risk and continue to improve the risk/ reward analysis capabilities and internal tools of the institution in order to optimise the understanding of Group Treasury market risks.  In addition, the role works to provide analysis of the risk/reward characteristics of the portfolio of liquid assets.

Day to day responsibilities include analysing risk from a technical perspective, advising Treasury on risk/reward, challenge risk management oversight methods with a view to consistent revision and improvement, being familiar with the institution's position in trading and risk, review trader marks, and implementing best practice ALM risk management.  Looking at the bigger picture the goal is to build up the oversight function, and a clearly defined career path of progression is available for the right individual. 

In order to be successful you will be a risk management professional with knowledge of commercial or investment bank balance sheets and financial markets such as interest rates products and derivatives.  Experience within a trading area of a commercial or investment bank, market risk management, asset liability management (ALM) will be highly regarded.  An ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business is valued.
