Position Description

Training Systems Services has an opening for an entry-level systems engineer to support the P-8A Aircrew Training System Program. Selected individual will be required to work across functional teams to assist in identifying and managing changes that affect the P-8A Training System Program. Specific tasks include assisting in the following: monitor and coordinate aircraft systems changes and define trainer system impacts; coordinate and manage P-8A training system-of-systems operation and ensure implementation and documentation of a complete solution to meet the customer's operational needs; and work across functions to ensure that all operational requirements of the P-8A training system are accounted for and developed for delivery to the customer.

Applicant must be able to learn Boeing tools and processes associated with requirements management and design disclosure. The successful applicant will gain experience in customer communications and coordination among varied disciplines. Applicants should possess the ability to learn aircraft system functionality and operation, inclusive of aircraft operations and performance. The successful applicant will gain experience in the systems engineering discipline and its application. P-3A or P-8A aircrew-related familiarity is a plus. Familiarity with the field of simulation, particularly pilot simulators/trainers is desired.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
