Pre-Outfit 2 / Pre-Outfit 3 Manager
ASC is currently seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to lead one of our key Pre-Outfitting functions on the Air Warfare Destroyer Program.
Focused on the installation of final Outfit to ship units prior to erection, this role is accountable for the allocation, management and leadership of all on-site production and subcontract resources from the completion of Blast Paint to ship consolidation. This role will require a strong liaison with production trade groups, planning, engineering and supply chain to bring together the effort to deliver the blocks in accordance with contractual obligations and the customer's expectations.
To be successful in the role it is essential that candidates have extensive outfitting experience in a naval or complex engineering environment supported by a relevant trade qualification and/project management experience. Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience of a production work group is essential. As a person you must be highly influential and a collaborator with excellent communications skills. You must possess an ability to make decisions in a complex environment and recognize best for project solutions.
