PAC Manager
*** Position will be based out of Washington, D.C. starting in Fall 2012 timeframe. Must be willing to initially work at the Falls Church CSC office location.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop execute a PAC solicitation strategy to achieve CSC PAC fundraising goals
- Tracking federal state political fundraising requests and processing of PAC check requests
- Maintaining an annual budget for CSC PAC Federal, State and corporate contributions
- Executing PAC administrative functions, processing PAC and corporate receipts and disbursements
- Management and use of the Vocus system to manage the PAC, payroll and human resource processes
- Filing of FEC reports
- Producing internal CSC PAC reports and analyses
- Updating and maintaining the CSC PAC website information
- Planning and preparing for CSC PAC board meetings
- Development of solicitations and all other PAC communications, i.e. newsletters, reports, presentations for PAC outreach to CSC employees.
- Event administration
- Assistance with contribution strategy, including candidate disbursements, contribution limits and candidate research
- Develops and maintains effective relations with public officials and their staff to ensure company's good standing.
- Coordinates moderately complex company positions on relevant political issues.
- Represents the company to elected officials and to members of regulatory agencies and other external organizations.
- Assists in representing company interests with trade, industry, and professional organizations.
- Maintains communication between management and public officials.
- Responsible for the company's standing and action on moderately complex governmental policies, issues, and concerns.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Six or more years of experience in government affairs or public relations
- Experience working with public issues and regulatory practices
- Experience working with company policies and positions on relevant public issues
Other Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years work-related experience in PAC administration/management and fundraising
Knowledge of federal campaign finance and elections laws required
Knowledge of Capitol Hill, elected officials and political landscape
Strong communication, writing and interpersonal to include presentation and public speaking skills
Financial skills including ability to reconcile bank accounts, payroll and reporting issues
