Packaging Engineer
Nestlé Professional Vitality a leader in the beverage industry has an immediate opening for a Packaging Engineer in the Tampa Bay, Fl area
JOB SUMMARY
Directly responsible for coordinating Company-wide cost savings efforts through packaging reduction, quality and optimization
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following other duties may be assigned:
- Coordinate all packaging initiatives for NPV manufacturing facilities.
- Direct the design, development, testing, approval, and implementation of new packaging innovations to promote profitable growth.
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives pertaining to packaging reduction/improvement and/or optimization.
- Oversee inspection of incoming packaging materials for each manufacturing plant
- Monitors the performance of packaging vendors, and address quality issues to insure that corrective actions are implemented as needed.
- Certifies vendors as required in accordance with Nestlé policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains specifications in accordance with Nestlé policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related field with four to ten years related experience.
- Must be able to up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to prioritize and focus in a multi-task environment.
- Team player with demonstrated communication skills and abilities.
