PACKAGING ENGINEER * Kansas City * Join an industry leader!
Under the direction of the Vice President Manufacturing, the Packaging Engineer is responsible for the design, modification and specifications of all packaging components used for Russell Stover products. Will work closely with Sales, Purchasing and Manufacturing departments to insure packaging for new items are produced on time and within specified guidelines. The Packaging Engineer will have the ability to identify cost savings. Through the redesign or specification of existing packaging components or equipment is essential. Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in a hands-on environment are essential.
Key Skills:
· Experience managing and completing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Ability to manage project budgets.
· Excellent communication, prioritization and customer management skills.
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills required.
Qualifications:
· BS in Engineering, Packaging or Mechanical preferred.
· 8 or more years package design experience required.
· AutoCAD or TOPS software required.
· Word and Excel proficiency required.
