PACS Administrator II In this role, you will manage the operations of the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) systems at the local facility to meet the clinical needs of the imaging departmentrsquo;s workflow and referring physiciansrsquo; expectations of receipt of diagnosis. You will be responsible for multi-facility oversight with regards to troubleshooting system problems; regional initiatives and implementation processes for a system-wide integrated PACS environment. In addition, you will be responsible for local system support and training for local processes, implementation of software upgrades, peripheral installations, and working in collaboration with IT in the installation planning and execution of all PACS related local projects. Qualifications include: bull; Supervisory or management experience in a high volume full-service hospital managing ten or more employees bull; Experience in administrative operations preferably in the health care environment bull; Experience in conducting training, implementation, and troubleshooting of imaging informatics products (software and hardware) bull; Previous computer and information data systems experience bull; TRRS, Dictaphone, MRMS, PARRS, PACS, Digital Imaging, and conversions from analog to the digital environment history and experience preferred bull; Voice Recognition software and hardware experience preferred bull; Database management and acquisition/implementation experience preferred bull; Associate degree in business, organizational development, or information technology related fields and/or experience; a bachelorrsquo;s degree is preferred bull; Training by vendor for regional on call rotation work bull; Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to records retention, confidentiality, and the release of medical records bull; Knowledge of medical terminology bull; Strong verbal and written skills bull; Strong information technology and computer skills bull; Prior budget management and development experience preferred as well as strong verbal and written communication skills bull; Accountable for managing the digital dictation system, transcription systems, and electronic reporting systems for Imaging as well as potential involvement with parallel service lines requiring PACS assistance bull; DICOM, HL7 knowledge bull; The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment For immediate consideration, please e-mail your resume to Shari.A.Ignont@kp.org .
