JOB SUMMARY:
The Paralegal will be responsible for providing paralegal support specifically for the Managers Funds family of mutual funds. As member of the Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. Affiliate Legal and Compliance Program team, the Paralegal will work closely with legal and compliance professionals at Managers and AMG, and will be actively involved in all aspects of the Funds’ legal and regulatory matters. A key contributor to day-to-day Fund operations, the Paralegal will coordinate and assist in the production of mutual fund board meeting materials, including agendas and minutes; assist with Fund filings and related matters; assist in reviewing agreements for Managers Investment Group (investment adviser), Managers Distributors, Inc. (broker-dealer) and the Managers Funds; support the ongoing requirements of the Funds’ legal and compliance program; and provide assistance on other legal and regulatory compliance initiatives as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Handle various aspects of mutual fund legal and regulatory compliance work, including:
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of Fund board meeting materials;
- Assist with Fund filings (including registration statement updates on an annual basis and prospectus “stickers” on an as-needed basis)
• Assist Counsel in reviewing, completing and tracking agreements and amendments involving the Managers entities (including Fund distribution and servicing agreements, intra-complex agreements, confidentiality agreements, and vendor agreements)
• Coordinate with various business units and operational teams and oversee production of materials related to the above functions
• Provide assistance and support for Managers legal and compliance program projects, including monitoring and assisting with the oversight of Fund subadvisors and service providers
• Interface with Managers and AMG personnel on legal and compliance matters
• Assist with other legal and compliance initiatives and business requirements as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong interest in the investment management and mutual fund industry
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple ongoing projects with varying deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word; strong experience working with other components of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Merrill DPA system a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years work experience, preferably in a legal and/or compliance paralegal role for a mutual fund complex, investment management firm, or other financial services industry setting
• 4 year college degree
