PARK RANGER INTERPRETATION

DUTIES: As an integral part of the park's interpretive team, the incumbent will provide meaningful interpretation to visitors on the park's significant historical, cultural, and natural resources. Responsible for developing and presenting a wide variety of interpretive programs, greeting visitors who enter the visitor center, and assisting in sales for the park's cooperating association. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work involves extensive periods of standing and walking, in some cases over rough surfaces or inclines, carrying backpacks, tools, rescue equipment, etc. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in settings in which there is regular and recurring exposure to moderate discomforts and unpleasantness, e.g., high or low temperatures, confined spaces or adverse weather conditions.
