Posted Position Title: Part 145 Repair Station Supervisor Career Level: Experienced Function Manufacturing Function Segment: Shop Operations Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: New Jersey City: Whippany Postal Code: 07981-1602 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 Repair Station Supervisor will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities - Develop production plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the operations department annual budget plan - Arrange for and provide adequate staffing to meet the production schedules set by production planning consistent with the onsite budget and with current business levels - Provide direction to support needs of each production area, including manpower, work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and training - Be responsible for reviewing and maintaining department expense budgets and for explanations for all variances - Strive to keep all variances related to achieving business objectives, monitoring increases and decreases in production demand - Support, encourage and facilitate Lean Manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for project teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects - Work to maintain and further develop a Visual Workplace including support for a 5-S program, active project boards, performance measure charts, and training program status boards - Develop and support the growth of all employees - Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives - Work with Human Resources (HR) to develop a performance oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, timely disciplinary Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an operations or management position) - Minimum of 3 additional years of supervision experience in a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 145 Repair Station ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS : - Possess Federal Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (AP) License - Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
