MANAGE ACCOUNTING PROCESS
A global manufacturer in Wolverhampton is looking for a confident and accurate Accounts Assistant to join their business on a part-time basis of 19.5 hours per week. This is an expanding business, and the Accounts Assistant will report to the European Head Office. The main focus of the Accounts Assistant will be to work in a stand-alone position to complete accounts to trial balance.
The job will involve both financial responsibilities and general administration; therefore a flexible attitude is essential. In terms of finance, duties will include the whole purchase ledger process from receiving invoices, matching, batching and coding to processing payment runs, sales ledger including credit control, bank reconciliations, work on the nominal ledger and cashbook control. The job role also required high levels of reporting e.g. savings reports, sales reports and end of month ledger reporting; therefore basic use of Excel is essential.
The right person will have previous experience of completing a varied, all-round role involving accounts to trial balance and administration. Applicants must have completed the whole purchase ledger process, be competent at credit control and working on the nominal ledger. This is a stand-alone position so applicants must be self-motivated and strong communicators, being happy to work on their own initiative. Experience of Sage would be an advantage.
