Part Time Compensation & Benefits Accountant recruitment
The chosen candidate will work three days a week and will be responsible for carrying out all financial and benefit related HR activities, ensuring all deadlines are met and that processes are carried out effectively and in line with strict controls and governance. Candidates with previous exposure to a similar role within a large organisation will be essential for this position. Ideally someone who is a part qualified (or equivalent) accountant will apply for this position. The following responsibilities will be required:
• Ensuring payroll information is sent to the outsourced payroll consultancy on a timely basis, payroll is checked and salary account is funded to ensure that salary payments can be made.
• Ensuring that all payroll transactions are recharged to the appropriate cost centre and that the uploading process is in line with the appropriate controls.
• Monitoring and monthly reconciliation of all HR related suspense accounts e.g. pensions, expats, payroll, tax, loans etc. Ensuring that reconciliations are signed off on a monthly basis
• Making confidential payments via CHAPs
• Responsible for all inpat salary administration
• Preparing monthly analysis for HR Director of the HR PL of actual costs versus budgeted costs, including commentary on the differences
• Monthly headcount reporting (both local and for Head Office)
• Administration of benefits via the flexible benefits system
• Responsible for ensuring that monthly pension contributions are calculated correctly and paid across.
• Tax year end administration
o Preparation of P11ds for all employees
o Class 1A NIC contribution calculation and payment
• Renewal of flexible benefits programme
Candidates should have a solid working history at this level, as well as strong Excel skills. In addition, discretion and communication skills are essential for this position.
