Part-time Finance Manager

A new opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Manager in the New Milton area. This is a permanent part-time opportunity with a leading manufacturing organisation and this role requires an experienced qualified individual with prior manufacturing related experience to join this growing finance team.

Reporting to the group MD, the fundamental tasks include the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts and the policing of the site processes.

Other key responsibilities include:
Preparation of weekly key statistics report,
Preparation of monthly management accounts to final trial balance, P L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow stage for analytical review,
To develop analysis of costs and variances from Budget/Plan and in particular develop margin analysis by job,
Monthly validation of stock valuation including possible provisions,
Compile monthly management accounts file with supporting documents,
Preparation of year-end statutory accounts to final trial balance, P L, Balance Sheet stage for analytical review,
Complete statutory accounts lead schedules for audit,
Compile year-end file of supporting documents for audit,
Cash management including cash collections, supplier payments and preparation of detailed rolling forecasts including a 5 week rolling forecast every week,
Commercial related tasks,
Maintenance of bank accounts and ad-hoc duties.

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have:

A CIMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification,
At least 5+ years experience in a similar role,
Prior use of Sage,
Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills,
Strong communication skills to build strong relationships with peers.
