Part-Time Payroll Administrator (Experienced)

EXPERIENCED PART-TIME PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR SOUGHT BY A SMALL FRIENDLY ACCOUNTANCY PRACTICE FIRM IN THE SALISBURY/ANDOVER AREA - 20 HOURS PER WEEK

Our client is a small accountancy practice and they are seeking to appoint a part-time payroll administrator, working 20 hours per week, managing a payroll bureau for c100 clients including monthly, four weekly and quarterly paid payrolls.

Reporting directly to the Partners, you will be processing client payrolls using IRIS PAYE Master including making SMP, SAP and SSP payments when required. You will also be co-ordinating payments of PAYE and NIC to HMRC and using HMRC PAYE Online to complete RTI submissions. Duties will also include completion of P45’s, P46’s and other payroll forms, checking Directors’ NIC at year end, dealing with client queries, opening new payroll schemes and closing old payroll schemes, processing expense payments and pension deductions.

The successful candidate will have good experience in payroll, ideally gaining that experience in a payroll bureau or accounting practice. It would be useful if they have previous experience of using IRIS PAYE software but full training on the software will be provided. They will also need to have good Microsoft Excel and Word skills and an NVQ payroll qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.

They will also need to have a friendly demeanour and be capable of clear communication with clients and team members. They will be enthusiastic, well organised, pay good attention to detail and be willing to be flexible to cover busy times.
