Part Time Retail Event Coordinator

 

 

PromoWorks offers CPG manufacturers and retailers unique strategies that enhance retail experience through customized shopper engagement and product sampling events.  The company partners with vendors and local grocery store chains to transform the in-store experience. 

 

Job Overview:  The role of the Coordinator is to interview, schedule and assess in-store demonstrations or events in grocery or other retail stores.  The part-time opportunity allows for flexibility in one’s schedule. 

Schedule:  Varied depending on business needs. (15-20 hours a week)

                    Weekend work is required

 

Location:  Home and Field.  Must have a home PC (no mac), scanner/fax, high speed internet connection, and digital camera

 

Description of activities: 

 

Book (Staff) In-Store Engagements Events

 

·         Staff 100% of in-store events to specified requirements and dates

·         Confirm event personnel information in proprietary system

·         Reschedule in-store demonstrations and events, if necessary

 

Event Paperwork

 

·         Ensure event paperwork is received from event personnel

·         Follow up on missing or late paperwork

 

Selection of Event Personnel

 

·         Participate in the recruitment and interview process of event personnel

·         Conduct face to face interviews with potential event personnel

·         Complete contractor and new hire information and training

 

Additional Field Work

 

·         Develop and maintain relationships with store management

·         Educate event personnel in designated area on brand/product

·         Evaluate and Assess event personnel

·         Provide client photos and requested photos

 

Qualifications: 

 

·         Some college or Bachelor Degree from an accredited college preferred

·         Experience in client service, inside sales, field sales or marketing a plus

·         Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull and lift 40lbs – 50lbs periodically during a 6 hour period.

 

Competencies: 

 

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Intermediate Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

·         Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed

·         Ability to work in a team environment and serve as a back-up when colleagues are absent

·         Home computer and high-speed internet access

·         Reliable transportation

·         Impeccable follow-up and follow-through skills to meet company deadlines
