Part-time Supply Store
Job Summary
Assists Manager in daily operations of the Supply Store while providing quality service to students, faculty and staff. Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Key Job Elements
- Work within established inventory and cost controls.
- Provide purchasing support and receiving of Store inventory.
- Conduct inventory review on an as needed basis.
- Monitor cash.
- Assist in supervision and training of employees and student help
- Other duties as assigned.

Supply Store Manager
Directly Supervises:
Student store employees as needed in absence of Supply Store Manager
Interacts With:
Corporate staff and all levels of college staff as well as student populations
Job Requirements
Knowledge:
- High school diploma required.
- Two to five years of proven relevant retail experience preferably in a post-secondary institution demonstrating cost-effective purchasing and decision-making skills.
- At least one year of retail staff management experience.
Skills:
- Excellent reading, verbal and writing communication skills.
- Prior exposure to and competency with inventory and margin management techniques.
- Exposure and prior use of POS and inventory management software systems such as Prism.
Abilities:
- Ability to listen to customers (e.g. students, staff, vendors, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests
- Ability to work without close supervision and to set one's own priorities and work schedule
- Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
