Part Time Telemarketer Job in Gloucestershire, South West UK

Our client based in Gloucestershire is recruiting for a part time telemarketer to assist them with refreshing and updating their customer database. The successful candidate will need to have good customer service skills, be IT literate and comfortable using their own initiative whilst talking with potential clients and customers.  The role also involves creative marketing and beneficially, you will have experience in this or have a marketing qualification.

This is initially an on-going part-time temporary assignment. As it is a new role the company is unsure of its development until it has found a suitable candidate. However, it potentially could become a full-time permanent role if the business needs are met and the company is still expanding. The assignment is based on 2/3 days per week from 08:00-17:00.


Job duties will include calling contacts from a database, updating telephone numbers and address', enquiries about relevant contacts for the buying of goods and updating the details on the database accordingly.  Information and leads from calls and emails will be communicated to and, once the role is more established, you will be involved with market research and advertising. A lot of the market research will need to be conducted over the phone in order to qualify customers. Some experience in advertising is also desirable as you will be responsible fro writing bespoke adverts.

You will also be developing mail shots to send to prospective clients.  You will be given a template of sorts but your task will be to make the marketing appeal to the UK market.  This is a large part of this role and requires a keen eye for detail, a flare for marketing and well-written and well-spoken English.
