Content Syndication Partnership Manager
My client, a global provider of of proprietary data, analysis, ratings, rankings and forecasts is seeking a Content Syndication Partnership Manager to join the Online Sales Team in London.
Reporting to the Global Head of Sales, this role requires a dynamic and strategic individual who can ensure aggressive revenue growth from current partners through strengthening existing relationships, marketing current offerings and promoting new content. The successful candidate will be responsible for a seven-figure revenue stream, which accounts for a significant proportion of the Online Sales Team's revenues. As such, their success will be essential to the department's growth efforts.
The basic salary on offer is £30-35k (£54-£59k OTE).
The main duties will include:
- Identification of revenue-generating opportunities from new and existing partners - The candidate will lead the negotiation of six and seven-figure deals
- Training, advising and monitoring the performance of agent's sales forces - Working with overseas agents, will require occasional travel to meet mutual clients and undertake staff training
- Working closely with resellers to develop successful marketing strategies - This will require arranging the delivery of press notes, devising marketing offers and planning content releases
- Relaying commercial insight to the in-house content development team for the expansion and improvement of the company's products
- Keeping accurate records of financial performance, analysing revenue trends and devising strategies to ensure that growth targets are met
- Overseeing the delivery of content to syndication partners - The successful candidate will liaise with a team of technical assistants on a regular basis
- Participation at trade shows, attending relevant industry events in pursuit of new business opportunities
Qualifications
We are looking for a self-motivated and independently-minded individual to lead an aggressive revenue growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be educated to a high academic standard and will have significant new business sales and account management background, preferably within the online information industry. The candidate must be commercially astute and be able to make a coherent assessment of current syndication partnerships as well as recommend future partnerships from a strategic standpoint. The candidate must be an effective communicator with the ability to grasp the technical requirements and commercial rewards involved in potential business partnerships
