- Leading mental health research institute
- Build and develop funding opportunities
- Raise a profile in a challenging health area
This organisation provides critical research funding to a number of researchers across universities and hospitals in the area of mental health. A Partnerships Director is sought to provide direction and focus to the fundraising efforts, currently including direct donations, events management, major gifts and bequests.
This role is a challenging assignment. Mental health is a topic that receives mixed attention in the media, and one of the key focus areas for this position is to drive strategies to build positive awareness in this area. The institute has contributed greatly to knowledge in this field, and a healthy respect for the science around research will position you well to represent the institute’s position.
As an engaging, persuasive communicator you will be adept at gaining people’s interest in confronting topics. You will work with a small team as well as researchers and others in the institute and as such a collaborative nature is essential. Experience in fundraising for not-for-profit and other similar institutions will be highly valued.
