Manpower is offering a Long-Term Opportunity with Potential to Transition to Permanent Placement with a Prestige Industrial Company in Salem VA in a Career Building position as a Parts Inventory Coordinator. Candidates will be working 85% of the job in a Foundry type industrial setting where the environment exposes workers to hot/cold temperatures and smoke/dirt and other smells to support the position during regular production schedule of 4a-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and Overtime during the week including Fridays. The Parts Inventory Coordinator will need to be highly flexible to work various hours between the production schedules. The suggested schedule of or between 4a-630p Monday through Thursday and lots of Overtime including Fridays. Safety is top priority for ALL workers and the job will require to have Steel-toed shoes and Safety Glasses. Other safety equipment will be provided as needed for work areas. Training will be provided to understand the overall in/out responsibilities of this position, however the candidates must by very computer savvy and have proficient knowledge of Excel/Access and other MSWord. Candidates must be able to communicate and interact with people on ALL levels to retain communications and relay communications accurately. Communication is presented in person, via phone and via email. Preferred candidates must have proven ability to be highly organized and detail oriented. Ideal candidates would be a self-started and can present and develop a method of a system that works best for the position that meets the best production outcome for the company. This position will require that the candidate understands the need and will learn and know the system, utilize the tools to meet all aspects of the job to successful control and supply parts/inventory for production. The ability to multi-tasks and meet deadlines a must. A background in parts management is preferred. The parts inventory coordinator will attend daily, weekly and monthly meetings to review the demands of the 'hot' lists and communicate tentative dates for parts. Works closely with foundry staff which will support learning and using the business system to manage parts and assure that overall production is not delayed and production will complete in a timely manner for shipment. The position will require a background check prior to an interview and tour at the worksite.
