About the Job

PARTS SPECIALIST needed for a local heavy equipment repair shop located in Aiken, SC. The successful candidate should have 2-3 years previous experience in order processing and customer service. Job duties include, but are not limited to receiving parts requests from internal and external customers, dealing with vendors to obtain cost and availability of parts, ordering parts, verifying accuracy of customer orders, identifying different parts sources via vendors, catalogs, internet, etc., inputting order information into computer based accounting system, creating purchase orders, opening sales orders, working with mechanics and walk-in customers to obtain needed parts from inventory and assisting with inventory control. Our company is seeking an individual who is able to multi-task, prioritize, offer excellent customer service and work independently with little supervision in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidate must also have relevant skills in problem solving. Experience in a mechanical related work environment is preferred, as well as experience in shipping and receiving.
