Delfield manufactures and markets a complete line of foodservice equipment for restaurants, hotels and institutions (including prep tables, undercounter/worktop refrigeration, refrigerated equipment stands, blast chillers/freezers and mobile serving lines) and specializes in custom and reach-in refrigeration. Key responsibilities of this position include answering incoming inquiries concerning parts via telephone and email, promote organization's products and services, responsible for researching and resolving customer equipment issues to ensure customer retention and satisfaction, participates in cross-functional teams as assigned and process phone and faxed orders as required. This position also is a fill in for the main operator as required. Reporting directly to the Manager of customer Service, this position is based in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan Essential Job Functions - Answer Telephone call and email inquiries - Process customer parts and warranty orders - Backup Operator for switchboard - Internal customer support for other departments within Delfield Job Requirements/Working Conditions - High School diploma with minimum of 1 year experience from a technical background in customer service required - Must be able to sit and communicate via telephone for 8+ hours a day - Strong computer skills including excellent keyboarding skills, MS Office knowledge and intermediate Excel skills required - Must be a team player and able to perform in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi task - Ability to read drawings and bills of materials a plus - Basic refrigeration knowledge a plus - Must be able to maintain accuracy and maintain a positive and professional demeanor - Prior experience as Switchboard operator a plus EEO STATEMENT The Manitowoc Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
