Position Summary:

Perform highly skilled, rapid-draw venipuncture and process collected samples according to sample collection and processing instructions. Assist with the orderly completion of all study activities according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and study protocol. Complete additional training required for advancement.

Responsibilities:

       

Perform rapid venipuncture on a set time schedule

Ensure accurate processing of all samples collected as per sample collection processing instructions,      
providing proper documentation and verification
Obtain supplies needed to perform all assignments

Communicate pertinent observations to the Study Manager or Research Associate

Report any adverse event (AE) to the Study Manager or Research Associates immediately

Perform service oriented duties in relation to participant needs

Document and QC documentation of all Activities assigned

Provide general support to the Study Manager or Research Associate during all phases of the study progression as necessary

Cross-train for other departments as needed

Other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:

Successfully complete Apprentice level training program, or have demonstrated Level-1 competence through tenured employment

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Prefer graduate of approved training program that includes phlebotomy

Excellent communication skills and demonstrate ability to provide high quality customer service

High attention to detail, display patience

Ability to work flexible hours under regular conditions, regular weekends, early mornings and some overnights

Current CPR certification is required
