Pastry Chef
Our client is looking for a Pastry Chef to join their friendly but busy team, they are very good at developing young talent but individuals who apply for this role need to possess the desire and passion to learn and succeed.
The Role:
Working alongside the other chefs in the kitchen you will be involved in the pastry section
You will be responsible for preparing all pastry's for afternoon teas and desserts for the restaurant
The cleanliness of the station is a huge priority in this section and so you need to be aware of health and hygiene regulations and use common sense when working around the kitchen
The Person
You will be self-motivated and driven, have a desire to learn and progress a career within the catering industry. You need to be qualified and have a solid chef background. The most important attribute is your desire and passion.
Skills that will need to be demonstrated include:
Relevant experience in a Restaurant
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent attention to detail
A high standard of personal presentation
Confident, professional and welcoming personality
An excellent command of written and spoken English
Be able to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
Able to work on a shift pattern including weekends
Due to location you need to have your own transport, however live-in accommodation will be available in the future.

Chef de Partie
To liaise regularly with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that the department is being managed in line with the company procedures and to the highest standards.
To ensure that company standards are being followed.
To constantly update your knowledge and skills for the good of the establishment.
To ensure that all mis-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct quantity and to the correct recipe.
To support Demi Chef de Partie and Commis, ensuring they are prepared for service.
To ensure that his section is clean and tidy at all times.
To ensure that all dishes reach the Pass at the correct time, correctly garnished, the correct portion size, presented on the prescribed dish.
To ensure that any shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous Chef.
To deputise in the Junior Sous Chefs absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to do so.
To ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being stored under the correct conditions.
To report maintenance issues promptly.
To ensure that all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed.
To check the quantity and quality of received products.
To carry out any reasonable request asked of you by a member of management.
To ensure that all guests are greeted in a friendly and professional manner.
To be punctual for work.
To be in a clean uniform and well presented.
