Patent Agent - Mechanical or Electical Engineering Experience
International IP FIRM The Northern Virginia office is seeking a Patent Agent in the Mechanical or Electrical engineering field. The primary responsibilities of the position include conducting interviews with clients to obtain invention disclosures, developing strategies for protecting inventions, drafting specifications and claims for patent applications and writing scientific and technical documents in clear concise English. Experience: The successful candidate will: Posses a graduate degree in physics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering and have Have successfully completed the patent agent examination and be registered to practice before the USPTO. Have one to three years of experience in patent prosecution at a law firm working in the areas of physics, electrical, and mechanical technologies, Have excellent language, grammar and writing skills Enjoy a friendly working envoirnment and the chance to work with a cutting edge patent technology.
