Patient Account Representative Job in San Antonio, Texas Us
Cardon Healthcare Network is seeking an individual to work within a hospital setting on the labor and delivery floor to assist uninsured patients with financial assistance programs. Duties include completing a financial evaluation of patient to determine eligibility for various governmental programs and all necessary documents to initiate eligibility process. Eligibility specialist will monitor applications and make follow-up telephone calls to local, State, or Federal Government agencies for the application status.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must
Strong verbal and written communication skills- strong professionalism
Preferred experience in Health and Human Services, Hospital Charity Programs, Medical Collections, SSI, Medicaid
1 year experience in Medical Collections for a hospital/doctor's office or 1 year equivalent experience in eligibility determination.
High school degree or GED
Able to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment
HOURS: Thursday - Monday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
