Patient Care Associate
Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC (WPIC) is currently seeking Patient Care Associates for the various Inpatient units. These positions are located in Oakland and the shifts are day/evening/night, weekdays, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities -You will be responsible for basic physical and behavioral assessments. -You will provide direct patient care. -You will encourage or assist patients in performing daily living activities. Basic Qualifications -High School Diploma or equivalent is required. -Certificate of completion of accredited nursing assistant, psychiatric technician, MHMR Specialist or MR Technician program is required. -Must be physically capable of providing direct total physical care to unpredictable, potentially violent mentally ill patients as necessary, including lifting, supporting, running towards or away from areas where problems are occurring and pushing and pulling equipment such as wheel chairs.
