Job Category: Operations Location: Seattle, WA, US Job ID: 788462-76668 Division: Server Tools Business Microsoft is looking for a senior leader to manage the payment operations team that is responsible for building and operating the payment capabilities of Microsoft's e-commerce platform. This platform is used by all the internal groups in Microsoft who have direct to customer billing relationships including Xbox, Windows, Office, Azure and Windows Phone plus many more internal partners. The platform operates in more than 50 countries supporting credit card transactions, mobile operating billing, direct debit and additional functionality for a growing pay-in and pay-out business. As Microsoft continues to drive software as a service and our cloud commuting strategy takes root, this internal team will experience dramatic growth and requires a proven operational leader. Responsibilities: The Group Manager of Payments Operations will have end-to-end responsibility for the processing of all payments that pass through Microsoft's ecommerce platform. This includes ensuring that all pay-in and pay-out processes are completed in a timely and predictable manner with the highest possible quality as efficiently as possible. To achieve this goal the Group Manager of Payments Operations must manage the large number of vendors who provide an array of payment services used by Microsoft's e-commerce platform. This included establishing strong operational interfaces with local processors in the key markets as well as the associations and third party service providers like PayPal and manages these processes with rigor. The Group Manager of Payment Operations will work very closely with the engineering team to identify and fix any production issues as well as identifying investments to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our payment operations. The Group Manager of Payment Operations is also on-point for partnering closely with each of the business groups in Microsoft to drive their business forward. This included developing and driving strategies to reduce costs including adhering to all industry best practices in the payments operations space as well as partnering with internal groups to manage overall billing related churn. The Group Manager of Payment Operations will manage a team of 4-6 professionals include FTE and Vendors who run the payment operations processes. The Group Manager of Payment Operations should be proven leader with the ability to attract, develop and retain world class talent. The Group Manager of Payment Operations will also be part of the overall e-commerce leadership team at Microsoft. Together with senior leaders from operations and engineering, the e-commerce leadership team is responsible for developing and implementing the product roadmap to support Microsoft's existing business while preparing for future growth. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have five or more years of demonstrated related work experience in the business of payments and or operations. This position requires an action oriented individual with outstanding coordination and organization skills, proven negotiation skills, strong analytical and decision making ability, and excellent written and oral communication skills. The person in this position must be highly self-motivated, must be able to manage successful internal and external business partnerships, and drive results in a dynamic environment. This position requires a demonstrated ability for maintaining excellent cross-group collaboration and a solid understanding of the planning, organizing, and coordination that is necessary when working under continual deadline constraints and handling multiple projects at once. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field required. MBA is a plus and proven experience as a manager is a must. ST:OCP
