Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for Solutions Architect to join our high profile client.

Our client is leading worldwide provider of payments solutions, consultancy and infrastructure development.

This is a new role to deal with the large influx of projects my client is responsible for.  They now have more than market share in the sector and are looking to capitalize on this in the current market. You will be client facing in some of the best known financial institutions designing and managing a number of large and complex payment schemes.

Day to Day you will be responsible for:

• Managing the design of custom solutions
• Complete custom solution architecture
• Product development
• Managing development
• Consultancy and some business  development
• True technical architecture
• Project management of a number of resources and projects.

My client is unique in that as an architect you will follow a project through architecture development and testing as well as having hands on exposure with the client. Some projects may well be solely based on your architecture others may involve client development.

Candidates must have:

• A deep business understanding of the workings of one or more payment schemes – primarily UK domestic such as CHAPS, BACS Faster Payments.
• Exposure to technical architecture on client site and internally (coming from a bank would be fine).
• 5 years experience in creating Outline solution designs / detailed end-to-end designs for complex payments solution implemented under these schemes
• Demonstrable stake-holder and project management
• Understainging of MS and Opensource Stack
• Experience in mentoring other team members
• Experience in using development tools such as those from Rational (e.g. RSA, RRC).
• Understanding of technical architecture technology stack is not that important.
