Payroll & Accounts Manager

A long standing accountancy firm with 25 years history provide a full range of Accounting and Consulting services from two main offices, located in Bath and Minchinhampton. A role has become available in their small office in Minchinhampton, with limited travel required to Client sites. Part of the service range is the provision of monthly (or quarterly) management accounts prepared from the Clients’ own information which is supplied to process in-house or reviewed and amended at clients sites. Clients range from Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies. As part of the service provision, they also provide a payroll bureau service. Payrolls are run weekly and/or monthly and RTI returns are submitted to HMRC on behalf of clients. The role requires a combination of good financial and communication skills. The work itself can range in tasks and because of the number of different Clients, the right candidate must be organised and thrive on the variety. As a strong team player, candidates will need to work on their own initiative. The role would ideally suit an individual who is looking for more variety than a single “client” working environment can offer, a part qualified Accountant or someone qualified by experience looking to gain real hands-on experience. Sound accounting theory and hands on experience is essential,. Ideally, candidates will also have good working knowledge of Sage Payroll, Sage Accounts, Excel and Word.
