Payroll Administrator (junior)

Hays is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Payroll administrator based just outside central Manchester on a permanent basis.
in this job role you will be responsible for inputting the monthly payroll from start to finish for around 1100 employees. You will be responsible for the inputting of overtime and bonuses and use a broad range of payroll legislation knowledge to process the allocated payrolls, you will gain a full understanding of payroll requirements, advise customers/clients and investigate any discrepancies in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will posses the ability to work well under pressure and the ability to work to agreed deadlines, you are able to work with minimum supervision, you are self motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills.

You will have a flexible approach to work , good organisational skills, work well within a team environment, knowledge of PAYE, NI, SMP, SPP, SSP, Student Loans, Pension, manual calculations and other relevant deductions are all desirable but training can be provided.
