Position: Payroll Administrator, Full-time
Location: Saltaire, Yorkshire
Salary: £14-17k per annum
ROLE:
The Payroll Administrator will ensure accurate payroll transactions are completed for clients. The right candidate will ensure service level agreements are delivered to strict deadlines.
In addition, they will ensure a high standard and accurate balancing/audit of payroll transactions and to provide support and guidance with client calls and queries, all within agreed service levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll.
- Ensure accurate payments and deductions are made to agreed service level agreements.
- Ensure all areas of payroll are fully compliant with HMRC and DSS regulations and with company financial regulations and procedures.
- To process starters, leavers, tax code changes, overtime, expenses and deductions.
- Processing SSP, SAP, SP and SMP as appropriate.
- Support accurate balancing and audit of a series of dummy payrolls through to a final pay run.
- Administering annual payments such as bonuses and pay reviews.
- Provide support and guidance on customer calls and queries.
- Assist with the end of year/start of year processes, P60s and P11Ds.
- Be part of a positive client focused team.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Two years` payroll experience, including PAYE and SMP legislation knowledge would be an advantage.
- Ability to work accurately to deadlines.
- Excellent level of numeracy.
- Strong systems/PC skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain queries to clients.
