Payroll Administrator recruitment

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Responsible for accurately processing new hires, terminations, benefits information, wage garnishments, tax liens, W4 information and all employee related payroll documents.

• Manage entries and updates in SAP and ADP and verify accuracy of entries based on available documents.

• Prepare and maintain standard ad-hoc reports, respond to queries and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.

• Provide required GL reports to Finance after each processing period.

• Research and resolve payroll inquiries and provide clear and accurate feedback following resolutions.

• Perform scheduled tasks and activities as required.

• Complete various payroll related audits including annual 401K audit and workers comp audit.

• Upgrading and maintaining payroll procedures and metrics as needed.

• Assist with year-end processing including reviews of W2 tax statements. Process W2c as needed.

• Respond to tax authorities, legal notifications and ADP invoicing.

• Participate on cross-functional teams within Human Resources.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience in multi state, mid to large size company.

• Experience with SAP HRIS and ADP Workforce.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

• Understanding of accounting entries related to payroll processes.

• Understanding of employment and tax laws in various states.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll environment along with any of the following criteria: Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree and/or CPP certification.

• Willing to go above and beyond and to put in the work needed to get the job done.

• Driven with a can-do attitude.

•  Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and multi task different responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Highly organized.

• Strong communicator.

• Strong partnership skills.

• Knowledge of Canadian payroll a huge plus.

• Experience using the following payroll databases are also acceptable - ADP Payforce and PCPW for windows.
