Payroll Clerk Job in San Diego 92121, California US
Golden Hour Data Systems is a medical billing and software engineering company located in Mira Mesa. We are seeking a Payroll Clerk. This position reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing all payroll duties. The Payroll Clerk will work with the accounting and human resources team.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Process bi-weekly payroll for 125 employees using ADP PC Payroll (hourly, salary and bonus payroll in multi-states
· Process time sheets through ADP EZ Labor
· Enter data and upload files into the payroll system
· Audit payroll reports
- Process manual checks when necessary
- Reconcile payroll
- Generate customized reports using ADP software (ReportSmith)
· Perform research and provide answers for employee payroll inquiries
· Enter employee information into ADP information system
· Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures
· Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reports
· Ensure compliance with government regulations, garnishments and liens
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements
- Prepare data and make journal entries
- Prepare financial statements, ledgers, reports and taxes
- Prepare financial reports, as required
- Prepare statistical reports and financial statements, as required
- Assist in special projects as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of ADP payroll experience a must
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of payroll/accounting.
· Knowledge of wage and hour laws
· Ability to understand employee payroll issues, and to communicate solutions effectively, professionally and respectfully
· Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to keep sensitive information secure and confidential
· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel)
