Payroll Manager (Pay Services)
As Manager, Pay Services, the selected candidate will perform the following essential duties and responsibilities, as well as any other duties as assigned:
· Supervise day to day activities of Pay Services staff
· Lead accurate payroll processing and disbursement
· Execute accurate recording of payroll-/benefit- related general ledger entries, including accruals.
· Monthly reconciliation of payroll/benefits general ledger accounts.
· Accurate and timely collection and payment of all payroll taxes and other payroll-related taxes such as unemployment.
· Timely research and resolution of any correspondence related to tax notices.
· Ensure timely research, response, and payment of court-ordered withholdings.
· Drive proper functionality and performance of payroll-related technology.
· Lead and respond to all audit requirements both internal and external.
· Position does require specific daily tasks at an individual contributor level.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university
· Five years progressive payroll experience, preferably with supervisory experience
· CPP preferred
· Experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP payroll software.
· Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word.
