PAYROLL MANAGER

Next Generation Vending has an immediate need for a hands-on Payroll Manager to work in our Corporate Office, located in Stoughton, MA.
The ideal candidate will not only know how to process payroll but provide strategic direction for the payroll function of the company. This individual will be responsible for using the ADP/PCPW payroll system for multi-state and multi-locations. Must have experience with ADP/PCPW and Reportsmith, taxes, and year-end process. Experience in integrating mergers and acquisitions also preferred. Position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the full payroll cycle process including employee related data transactions, preparation and processing of payroll, auditing payroll transactions and results, and external tax/compliance reporting review.
- Process and transmit weekly, bi-weekly and special payment multi-state payrolls for approximately 500 employees
- Ensure that timekeeping, data entry, payroll processing, and similar procedures are performed in accordance with established Company policies.
- Coordinate all Calendar Year end activities to ensure accurate and timely issuance of Form W2 statements and related payroll tax filing.
- Ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner according to company policy and compliant with state and federal statutory regulations
- Review payroll account reconciliations, identify payroll related items for month end and quarter end accounting cycles, and assist General Ledger department to resolve discrepancies.
- Audit information for completeness and take appropriate action when needed
- Managing regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, etc.)
- Partner with all levels of Human Resources personnel on executing requests for special payments such as bonuses, merit increases and special handle transactions
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers and governmental agencies
- Maintain and monitor I-9’s
- Reporting; Quarterly and Year End reporting, 401(k) Testing
- Familiarity with State and Federal employment laws
- Working knowledge of HR/Benefits: Health, Dental, Life, Disability, 401(k), Self-Billing
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate
Requirements
- Associates degree or Certification (CPP)
- 5+ years of payroll experience with automated systems; ADP experience with Reportsmith knowledge preferred
- Experience with Time and Attendance Software, i.e. iemployee preferred
- Proficient in Excel, HRIS
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
