Payroll Officer (Perm or Temp to Perm)

Do you have experience of processing payroll for the NHS or an organisation who pay employees on various pay scales due to shifts?

If so my client based in Southend are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team who processes up to 6,500 employees across various payrolls due to different shifts and allowance. As part of the team you will be solely responsible for own portfolio of staff (approximately 600) which will involve all aspects of the payroll process from dealing with new starters, leavers, compiling payroll data ie: timesheets, overtime payments, enhanced pay rates as well as SSP, SMP, SAP and pension payments.

This is a challenging but yet rewarding role to work in a busy payroll team dealing with complex payments across different payrolls. Experience of processing pay for the NHS and using ESR and E-Rostering would be ideal however we will consider experienced payroll officers who can demonstrate they have processed a large payroll (500+) with complex shifts, pay rates and/or commission structures.

The successful candidate will ideally have NHS payroll experience with good communication skills to deal with staff payroll queries and able to calculate manual payments as well as being confident with Excel.

This is a permanent payroll job but the client will consider a temp to perm option if you have limited NHS payroll experience.

If you have the relevant skills and experience to undertake this Payroll Officers role in Southend, please submit your CV on-line in the first instance and contact Andy Jarman on 01206 746703 for more details.
