PDS is seeking a Payroll Processing Specialist I with a minimum of 1 year experience.

Job Summary:
- This position will execute all production service related tasks such as running client payrolls, printing checks and advices, bank transmissions and other vendor data related transfers. Additional duties include but are not limited to installation and or configuration of MS SQL Server RDBMS, Crystal Reports, IIS based web applications. Providing technical and application assistance is a key part of this positions role in supporting our payroll application, providing in-depth analysis and timely resolutions/workarounds for customer requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Execute all Client Payroll Production Services
· Upon notification of Client payroll validation, perform all payroll processing procedures which are specific to each client, transmission of all ACH, TAX, custom client interfaces to vendors.
· Printing, sealing and packaging of all checks and advices.
· Scheduling and administration of all year-end and quarter-end processing (tax file transmission, w2,t4,1099 printings and packaging)
· Maintain all documentation of Payroll Processing Procedures production checklists.
· Client application environment installation and configuration (training will be provided).
· New client implementations via building production, test and training application environments as well as co-ordinate and participation in Client conversions, application upgrades and updates.
· Administration of Client SQL Server Databases (scheduled backups, maintenance jobs, restores)
· Assists Clients with Database and Application Security.
· Provides operational support of both stand alone and application embedded Client Crystal Reports (Version XI and beyond).
· General completion of all Client application content modification requests.
· Troubleshoot and log system level issues as reported by client and refer/work with product support for all client application issues.
Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS SQL Server is required.
· Solid working knowledge of the payroll process, SQL query language and IIS based web applications.
· Dependable and consistent with the ability to multitask.
· Good customer service skills.
· Positive team participation skills.
