Payroll Service Professional Job in Boston, Massachusetts Us

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform daily work in a SAS70 environment following check list procedure detail.

- Process client payrolls that are submitted via fax, e-mail, call-in and electronic transmission.

- Coordinate with clients to ensure payroll is submitted by established deadlines.

- Processes data for payroll system including updating employees' information, deductions, garnishments, required withholdings, etc.

- Provide excellent ongoing customer service and issue resolution for clients.

- Review and verify payroll information and reports for accuracy.

- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

- Maintain open lines of communication within teams and also across departments.

- Identify and suggest process improvements

- Take a proactive role in maintaining an awareness of clients' needs and offer additional services that meet identified needs.

- Accurate packing and shipping of payrolls

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Success:

• Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or three or more years of office-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree is highly preferred.

• 2+ years of payroll and customer service experience, preferably in a payroll service bureau environment

• Understanding of payroll as a whole

• Basic understanding of pre-tax income rules

• Basic understanding of OT laws and payroll laws related to multi-state payroll processing

• Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the stress of constant deadlines

• Dependable/reliable

• Strong Organizational skills

• Organized with great attention to details.

• Ability to multi-task

• Enjoy working in a customer service capacity

• Enjoy working in a team-oriented environment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

• Good communication skills (verbal written)

• Professional telephone "presence"

• Competent MS Office skills (emphasis on Word and Excel)

• Self-motivated with "can do" attitude

• Reliable Transportation on a daily basis
