Responsibilities Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of CB packages and is managing the Dutch payroll. Main focus areas are Pension, Health Plans, cross border mobility, salary policies, labor relations, tax, social security and HRIS. Conduct analyses, and assists with the design and administration of compensation programs including but not limited to salary administration, variable compensation, and general compensation. Responsible to ensure that requested CB services will be delivered to the businesses timely and accurately.
 
Essential Duties
-Managing the Dutch payroll, liaising with global NN in respect of the expatriate employees.
-Implementing compensation and benefit policies, processes and initiatives in line with business needs.
-Review, re-design implement CB core benefits, processes and communications in order to ensure market equity, increase effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Act as a lead analyst for compensation analyses, benchmarking activities and market studies.
-Ensuring administration and communication of all benefit related plans, e.g. pension and medical plans.
-Ensuring that enquiries from HR and line management are responded to in full. Providing specialist advice, giving a compensation and benefit perspective to projects as appropriate.
-Dealing with compensation and benefits issues, and facilitating improved understanding.
-Provide advice to the HR Manager and business on all compensation and benefit matters, responding to the queries in a timely manner.
-Monitor Reward and Recognition programs and Special Payment process – including Variable Incentive plans and provide analysis and reports on recognition activity.
-Researching, developing and maintaining a repository of information on internal and external best practice.
-Coordinating regular internal and external compensation benchmarking exercises and analysis. Drawing on these to provide options and ideas which will give internal customers competitive advantage.
-Support and participate in negotiations teams where applicable.
-Ensuring that compensation and benefit processes and practices are properly transparent and legally compliant.
-Support the business with wage tax and social security related processes and organize audits to monitor the compliance, including all cross border related tax and social security matters.
-Responsible for keeping the  business up-to-date on changes in law and legislation and pro-actively making proposals on how these changes should be processed within the business.
-Key contact towards tax agency and social security office.
-Main contact on pension related issues for not only management but also employees.
 
 
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Hbo/ University level in HR / Tax Law or Economics.
-  Specialist knowledge of Dutch payroll and experience of Compensation and Benefits in The Netherlands
 
 
Critical Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate will possess the following additional competencies:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in progressively complex compensation payroll experience.
-  Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation.
-  Demonstrate experience dealing with international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management.
-  Strong communication skills.
-  Fluent English verbal and written.
-  Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
-  Computer literacy (Excel, Word), excellent knowledge of HRIS.
