Payroll Specialist Job in Carlsbad 92008, California Us
3E Company, a Verisk Analytics Company, has an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist. As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll for our Canadian employees and will work directly with corporate payroll to process US payroll.
§ Track, record and report all employee payroll data to the corporate Payroll department
o Submit compensation changes, commissions, bonuses for payment
o Report hours to be paid for every payroll
o Submit and track garnishments, tax levy’s, benefit deductions, tax exemption changes, direct deposit information, etc.
o Review payroll register for accuracy
o Report any errors or inaccuracies to Payroll department
o Work with Payroll department on employee terminations
§ Administer EZ Labor Timekeeping System for US and Canadian Employees
o Work with Managers to ensure employee time is entered accurately
o Output hours and send to corporate Payroll department on a bi-weekly basis
§ Assist employee with payroll questions
§ Work closely with corporate Finance and HR team to transition from ADP EZ Labor timekeeping system to PeopleSoft Time and Labor.
§ European Payroll Set up
o Work with payroll company in individual countries to set up new employees
o Research and identify new payroll companies when hiring in a new country
§ Track sick and vacation time for all employees
§ Run reports for HR and Finance as needed
§ Assist with Audit Prep (Workers Compensation, Financial audit, etc)
§ Annual budget preparations
o Work with Finance team to enter and verify employee headcount and payroll data
o Enter taxes, annual increases, merit increases, etc.
Successful candidates for the Payroll Specialist position will possess the following qualifications:
§ Minimum 3 years experience processing payroll, preferably using ADP Pay at Work and ReportSmith
§ Experience with processing Canadian payroll, a plus
§ Bachelors Degree or Payroll Certification preferred
§ Experience with PeopleSoft time and labor system, a plus
§ Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws, wage withholding orders and garnishments
§ Strong working knowledge in Excel
§ Strong customer service and communication skills
§ Ability to work in a team oriented environment as well as independently with time sensitive information.
§ Ability to maintain confidentially is mandatory
§ Ability to communicate clearly, timely, and accurately
§ Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
