Payroll Specialist (Middleburg Heights, OH)

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately executing payroll administration under the supervision of the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Specialist demonstrates a sustained high level of professionalism, discretion, and focus on Home Services payroll. The associate must have a high level of customer service relationships with all district management and field associates. Job Responsibilities: * Flawless execution of manual weekly payroll and incentive/bonus programs. * Executes payroll processing in compliance with all state and federal laws and Company pay policies. * Processes state disability payments, with documented support. * Processes short term disability payments, with documented support. * Responsible for accurate file management and record retention. * Provides accurate and timely information to associates and management on a daily basis. * Acts with urgency to meet and resolve customers needs. * Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Experience/Education Requirements: * HS diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree preferred * 2-5 years HR/Payroll experience * Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word; PeopleSoft experience preferred * Basic comprehension of HR compliance process, State and Federal laws, including ADA, FMLA, and Workers Compensation * Champion of customer service, proficient in follow-up and execution Required Job Capabilities: * Ability to read and execute reports * Ability to work well under pressure * Strong computer skills * Excellent communication skills * Strong organization, planning, time management and problem solving skills * Working knowledge of ISO compliant documentation retention principles practices * Integrity Job Specific Technical Competencies Experience/Education Requirements: * HS diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree preferred * 2-5 years HR/Payroll experience * Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word; PeopleSoft experience preferred * Basic comprehension of HR compliance process, State and Federal laws, including ADA, FMLA, and Workers Compensation * Champion of customer service, proficient in follow-up and execution Required Job Capabilities: * Ability to read and execute reports * Ability to work well under pressure * Strong computer skills * Excellent communication skills * Strong organization, planning, time management and problem solving skills * Working knowledge of ISO compliant documentation retention principles practices * Integrity Years Experience 1 - 2 Years Experience Preferred Minimum Education High School / GED Travel Requirements None
