Payroll Team Leader Job in Melbourne 3000

One of Melbourne’s leading Healthcare providers is looking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their large finance team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role will play an integral part in the leadership, development and management of an 11 strong payroll team.

As Payroll Team Leader, you will assume direct accountability for ensuring the timely payment of up to 5,000 employees. You will manage team resources, identify priorities and ensure deadlines are met by working within the legislative and organisation’s payroll policies.

Your will also be responsible for:

To be successful, you will have gained team management experience within a large and complex payroll team. You will be confident in your ability to make sound decisions on both employee and operational issues and be capable of getting the best out of your team, by providing constant feedback.

You will be willing to lead from the front and have demonstrated ability in negotiating and coaching internal staff members

Working in this fast paced environment, your ability to solve issues effectively and communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders will be essential as will your capacity to consistently deliver to tight deadlines.

Obviously, you will have extensive payroll experience and exposure to the Healthcare industry would be a definite advantage. Knowledge of CHRIS 21 payroll system will also be highly regarded.
