PDT Trading Desk Developer – Morgan Stanley

Position Description
We are seeking a high-performance individual with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking ability combined with strong technical skills to join the London trading desk/operations team of Process Driven Trading (PDT), a global and collegial proprietary quantitative trading group at Morgan Stanley.

This role entails working closely with fellow trading desk/operations specialists and technologists, as well as with systems developers and administrators and quantitative researchers in the group.

The responsibilities of this position include running and ensuring the successful operation of the trading systems, reconciling PNL and positions, identifying and managing risk, and monitoring exchange connectivity. Trading desk developers are also expected to explore, propose and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the trading desk.

This role provides the opportunity to become expert in trading operations across multiple asset classes and international markets, while honing technology and programming skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology degrees preferred.

Skills Desired
Experience working with a trading desk or trading group.
Knowledge of unix OS/development environment and shell scripting.
Experience in/or exposure to finance industry.
FSA certifications.
Coursework in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
