Position Details:
The Global Security Operation Center is responsible for the collection, analysis, identification, and escalation of security incidents.
The Security Engineer is responsible for the day to day operational management and maintenance of the various technologies in use within the Global Security Operations Center. This role ensures that the technologies implemented by the GSOC are fully operational, and is responsible for creating the automation needed to monitor the detection technologies for a global enterprise, such as SEIM, IDS, Vulnerability Management, Wireless, etc.
The development of new data feeds and services includes the writing of data parsers and flex connectors. Installing data connectors and log collectors. And in addition the tuning and aggregation of these sources.
To be successful in this role the individual most maintain an advanced level of understanding of the technologies involved with GSOC service delivery and troubleshooting to support our diverse customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting security assessments, audits and penetration tests
- Performing engagement tasks according to scope of work by:o Scoping and Requirements Gatheringo Statement of Work and Kickoffo Test Executiono Reporting and Reviewo Analysis and recommendations
- Meeting professional practice standards and demonstrating competence in core service areas
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with business units
- Executing delivery work that exceeds expectations based on strong understanding of the business units and needs
- Participating in industry conferences and professional organizations
- Creating additional value for business units through continual insights and consultative advice based on experience with the business, industry, established standards and leading practices
