Pensions Advisory – M&A, Investment Consulting, Covenant Assessment recruitment

The client is a specialist Corporate Pensions Advisor in central London.

They offer sophisticated advice to companies relating to any issues around their Pension scheme.

This often takes place in the context of a transaction - an acquisition,  divestment or restructuring - about which the regulator may have something to say - something that could prevent a deal happening perhaps.

They also offer investment consulting advice - perhaps a company has a Pension deficit and is considering de-risking their position by way of a buy-in/buy-out or similar.

Pension Covenant Assessment projects are common too - enabling a company to assess their liability to their pensioners and deal with it in the best way possible.

Any Pensions issues fall into their orbit so this role covers a multitude of areas and can be quite diverse. Candidates will need the ability to really assess a company's financial position -- so an accountancy qualifications is prized. At least the ability to analyse a company's balance sheet, cashflows etc - all their key financial metrics. Additionally you will need to be comfortable in front of senior execs. The ideal candidate would have a grasp of advisory, Pensions and business review of some sort. MA bankers welcome, corporate financiers of any description or accountants with some additional edge.
