Pensions Technical Manager (SIPP) Job in Surrey, Home Counties Uk
I am recruiting on behalf of a highly reputed, well established SIPP provider who are keen to recruit a Pensions Technical Manager to add value to their organisation.
My client is a well known SIPP provider having operated within the market for over 30 years. They are currently responsible for over 2000 SIPP’s and nearly 700 SSAS schemes. They have an enviable reputation as SIPP specialists and senior members have staff have been employed for an average of 21 years.
A well run and profitable provider of self invested pensions, they now wish to take advantage of their excellent reputation and recent awards by investing heavily in both the current proposition and marketing budgets
Main Responsibilities:
As part of a growing sales team, together with the Technical Director, to be conversant with current and new pensions legislation, to provide technical support to sales staff and administration teams, to review and digest changes in legislation and to identify sales angles that may result. To prepare technical bulletins internally and for external release to introducers and industry publications. To act as a technical support to intermediaries.
The successful candidate does not have to be a SIPP Specialist, but will have a good knowledge of pension’s legislation which will include some knowledge of SIPPs SSAS. They will come from a life company, pensions consultancy, IFA or trustee background
Skills required:
- A good awareness and understanding of legislative rules and regulations, tax and technical issues surrounding Self Invested Personal Pensions and Small Self Administered Schemes.
- Progress towards relevant professional qualifications.
- Analytical and inquisitive.
- Awareness of innovation in the sector.
- Good overall communication skills.
- Ability to understand and simplify legislative issues and produce summaries and technical updates for internal and external issue in a timely manner.
- Draft technical articles for industry publication.
- Problem solving.
- Confidence to communicate directly with intermediaries.
- Ability to work within a team.
The client is offering a highly competitive salary and benefits package, salary c. £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience + DC pension scheme (after qualifying period), life cover and PHI, 25 days holiday, free onsite parking and more importantly, the real potential of longer term employment and career development.
